Francis Bay Beach - St. John - USVI

Francis Bay

Beaches
Snorkeling

This north-side bay is less touristy since there are no facilities and limited parking. In other words, ideal to check out from a charter boat!

Snorkeling is great on both sides of this pristine bay. In the center of the bay, you’ll find beds of seagrass hosting eagle rays and green sea turtles. To the west, you’ll find rocks extending off the shoreline hosting hard and soft corals. You can try out the east side for even more diversity. Francis Bay is home to sea fans, blue tang, and parrot fish.

Reviews

"This was one of our favorite beaches on the north shore. Less crowded than Maho and other beaches with the limited parking and facilities. Also easy to stop at the Annaberg ruins on the way. Beach was not crowded and calmer waters, and snorkeling was as good as other beaches." - Regal2016, TripAdvisor
"Beautiful quiet beach. Would recommend if you want to avoid the crowds or want a low key beach." - Doug Blaszczak, Google Review
